For those of you who are Hugh Marsh fans, there is a very nice article about him in today's Toronto Star Newspaper. They have a short quote from Bruce: "...he's been _everywhere_ musically. He's comfortable in almost any musical genre. At the same time, he has the ability to draw each one of these different, even unrelated, musics into the swirl of what Bruce Cockburn calls Marsh's 'own musical universe. 'It's entirely his own, this place. But what a place to be.'" Indeed! I just uncovered some CDs -- I don't have them :-( -- of a syndicated radio show called "The Difference," hosted by Todd Rundgren. According to the info I have, Bruce appeared four times on the show and either performed live or was interviewed. Have any other Humans heard of Bruce's appearances on Rundgren's show? I also came across a few other finds (completists take note!) that I haven't heard mentioned before: - - A German import called "Happy Christmas" (Sony, 1993) that has two selections from "Christmas" on it. Also features Harry Connick, Jr. (never thought I'd see Bruce and Harry on a CD together). - - A Canadian disc called "Earth Day 1996" (HMV Canada Earth-1996, 1996) on which Bruce performs "If a Tree Falls" (same as the studio version). Apparently only available through HMV stores. - - A cassette from the Greenbelt Festival Organizers called "Strait Tapes, Vol. 1" (Greenbelt Festival, 1987) on which Bruce performs a live version of "In the Falling Dark."
